Colocation Hosting
A colocation facility or data center is a network-connected secure facility for housing telecommunications and IT infrastructure. Colocation involves the sub-letting of space for a telco or Internet service providers (ISPs) switching equipment either in a facility owned by an independent company or a network-owning carrier.
More commonly, colocation refers to the location of a server or Web server owned by a Web hosting company, an application service provider (ASP), an ISP or an enterprise user in a facilities management center. Businesses use colocation centers to lower their overall cost and improve their uptime and connectivity. Why build or grow your own data center when you can use colocation servces that are professionally managed for you.
