Autoclave
When selecting a new autoclave or sterilizer, an important consideration that should be made is the nature and size of the load that is to be processed and sterilized. There are physical, chemical, and biological indicators that can be used to ensure an autoclave reaches the correct temperature for the correct amount of time. The autoclave is the only approved sterilization device that can sufficiently heat tools such as forceps to a high enough temperature to kill all bacteria. An autoclave is a pressurized device designed to heat aqueous solutions above their boiling point to achieve sterilization.
