Routers

A router takes information from one source, and re-routes it to another source. A router cansend something from point A to point B even if point B is on a different network. A router can help route the data packet to the correct point on its network. A router in essence connects two networks together, for instance, your home network and the internet. A router is also sometimes used to connect two LAN's together, two small to medium sized networks in say an office building, together. Information and links on a complete line of routers here.
